Outer Planetary Transits – 2023

The personal planets – Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus & Mars – move quickly through the Zodiac and represent our individual personal characteristics and experiences.

The outer planets – Jupiter, Saturn, Chiron, Uranus, Neptune & Pluto – take a much longer time to transit the Sun, hence they shape the big picture themes of our lives.    Please find below a key summary of outer planetary transits during 2022 & how their celestial vibrations will influence our lives this year.

Jupiter in Aries

20/21 December 2022 to 16/17 May 2023
12 Years to transit the Zodiac

What ever began to evolve in your life with Jupiter in Aries in May 2022 to October 2022, will be taken to the next level of expression between December 2022 and May 2023.

With Jupiter in Aries for its final 5 month transit (it returns back to Aries in 12 years time in 2034), this is an opportunity NOT to be missed.  Jupiter in Aries gives you the confidence & genius ideas to create NEW experiences for your life from of a place of soulful genius.  This is a practical, realistic and expansive transit that also offers great luck and abundance…. but it is up to YOU to take the leap!

Of important note is the exact conjunction of Chiron & Jupiter (both in Aries) in March 2023.

As discussed below under the ‘Chiron’ heading: Chiron transits the full Zodiac every 50 or so years.  The last two transits of Chiron in Aries: 1919 to 1927 saw the end of WWI, and then 1968 to 1976 the make love not war movement.  The theme of Chiron as she transits Aries for 8 years is a humbling of the human spirit – to surrender our ego will & be uplifted by Divine Will.  Aries is strong, dynamic & forceful – and through Chiron she is driven to fight for LOVE, HEALING, COMPASSION & EMPATHY and be a force of good within the world. She sees a world more beautiful and takes her core wounding to a higherplace – to serve not just herself, but also nature, the Earth & humanity.

Jupiter transit through Aries in 2023 combined with the conjunction of Chiron in Aries will foster the emergence of new leaders who are ready to step out of the old ways of the world and be pioneers of co-creating a new era for Earth.   Spiritual warriors who are humble, visionary, altruistic and fierce in their vision of uniting our world through the Heart.

Jupiter in Taurus

16/17 May 2023 to 25/26 May 2024

Jupiter is the planet of expansion, luck, abundance and grandest expression of the sign it is transiting.  Jupiter moves out of Aries and into Taurus in May 2023.   What ever was happening in your life during the last Jupiter-Taurus transit in June 2011 to June 2012 will be coming back up for review/reflection/reignition during 2023/24.

Jupiter in Taurus activates the areas of your life that involve your physical assets, possessions, finances and values you place upon these.   You may find during this transit new opportunities arise for living abundantly, flourishing your wealth, and exploring new ways that offer flow of prosperity.  Self-Sufficiency away from constricting structures (see Saturn in Pisces) will entice you to explore new horizons of work, and valuing your time.  In fact all Values will be up for exploration, and what may have been your past ‘goals’ re wealth may no longer apply to the more enlightened or spiritual nature of your life now.

Jupiter in Taurus could help you ignite gratitude for the richness of life itself, the gift of being alive, and abundant offerings of Mother Earth.  You may discover during this transit that THE most valuable asset you own is your time— and begin to restructure your life with more simplicity that enables you to thrive in life’s pleasures that NO money can every buy because these are priceless.

Saturn in Aquarius

17/18 December 2020 to 7/8 March 2023
29.5 Years to transit the Zodiac

Saturn (life lessons, wisdom, karma, responsibility) moved into Aquarius (Independent, Humanitarian, Rebellious, Determined, Innovative, Wisdom, Individuality & Eccentric) on the 17 December 2020, having spent previous time both in Capricorn & Aquarius as follows:

21/22 March 2020 – Saturn enters Aquarius
1 July 2020 – Saturn Rx enters Capricorn
17/18 December 2020 – Saturn enters Aquarius
7/8 March 2023 – Saturn enters Pisces

Saturn is a timekeeper that weaves the akashics of Earth’s evolution – from her inception through to the unfoldment of her grander purpose within creation. Saturn has us reflect on our learnings of the past, including past lives & Earths ancestry, enabling us to make wisdom choices in the present about our future.

Saturn is about structure & efficiency, and reflects the governing bodies of our world.  Saturn demands accountability, ethics, principles, values, sobriety and karmic responsibility.

Saturn is a great teacher and takes us into places that often are unfamiliar, places outside of our comfort zones that enable us to grow & evolve.  Saturn in Aquarius takes us out of the more structured experience of Saturn in Capricorn (ie rules, control, government power etc) and into a more expanded view/experience of life.  Here are examples of moving from Saturn in Capricorn to Saturn in Aquarius:

  • Doing what you are ‘told’ in return for Freedom  VS  discovering that Freedom is your birthright
  • Serving Country under the instruction of Government  VS  taking care of your community outside of Govt control
  • Blindly believing the ‘facts’ as told by those in power  VS  deep introspection & critical thinking from diverse sources

With Saturn in Aquarius we learn that the ultimate authority over your life is always YOU.  No Government, Media, or external force has control over your life – this hierarchy structure was experienced through Saturn in Capricorn.   This Saturn in Aquarius transit will enable us to discover the true value of the collective, and how we can live FREE lives when we take personal responsibilities for ourselves and not hand our lives over to external forces of control.

Saturn in Pisces

7/8 March 2023 to 24/25 May 2025
Saturn then enters Aries, but returns retrograde into Pisces
1/2 September 2025 to 13/14 February 2026

After heartfully embracing Saturn in Aquarius by taking FULL responsibility for your life, depending on how you experience Saturn through Aquarius will set the scene for how Saturn through Pisces is experienced for you.

Saturn LOVES structure & organisation.  As the second largest planet surrounded by rings at the equator, her beauty comes to life through our boundaries, she is the epitomy of orderliness, systemisation & limits.

However Pisces is feeling, intuitive, dreamy, psychic and often runs in the opposite direction of structure far far away from any BOUNDARIES!!!   YET… when Pisces embodies structure the grandest expression of Piscean traits can flourish.   Though usually not without a struggle!

Come March 2023, Pisces in Saturn will invite in a major frequency shift of the planet— and this may feel darn uncomfortable at first.   As dishonesty or shady dealings of systems comes to light (think Governments, Media, Pharma, Health Industry etc), this could lead people to feel disillusioned, betrayed, or even angry that the wool had been pulled over their eyes.    However if Saturn through Aquarius was VERY illuminatory for you, the initial Saturn into Pisces could have you feel a sense of relief and promise that change will finally be in the air.

Things will start to dissolve as Saturn moves through Pisces, the water energy will wash away the torrent of many injustices within our structures.  A great motto of this time will be:  The Truth will set you Free.   Those in places of power that have misused their energy, deceived, manipulated, hidden, or even coerced may find that their masks will fall.   This even includes those in the spiritual or healing realms that have built empires that fed off peoples weaknesses, and that engage in practices that are disempowering in order to ensure constant cashflow.

However, in the second half of this Saturn in Pisces transit, NEW more fluid, amiable, freedom/choice charged structures will really take off and flourish.   Systems & Structures that revere diversity, and NOT cookie-cutter form or control for controls sake.

Saturn through Pisces maybe an uncomfortable transit for many, as they look for deeper into the meaning of life way beyond what they have been ‘told’ or bee ‘led to believe’ from systemic powers of the past.   The struggle or suffering this transit may activate can be softened by committing to a spiritual practice or daily ritual that engages your Heart, Soul & sparks your Creativity.   Ultimately commit/dedicate your life to something during this transit that empowers you to flow with great change and find comfort in the not-knowing what is coming next!   Nature, Earthing and in particular Water will ground you, quell anxiety and help you to flow through this transit.

Chiron in Aries

17 April 2018 to 14 April 2027
49-51 Years to transit the Zodiac

Chiron (wounded healer) moved into Aries (Leader, impatient, risk taker) in April 2018.
Chiron transits the full Zodiac every 50 or so years.

She sees a world more beautiful and takes her core wounding to a higher-place – to serve not just herself, but also nature, the Earth & humanity.   During this time new leaders will emerge who are ready to step out of the old ways of the world and be pioneers of co-creating a new era for Earth.   Spiritual warriors who are humble, visionary, altruistic and fierce in their vision of uniting our world through the Heart.

Uranus in Taurus

15 May 2018 to 27 April 2026
84 Years to transit the Zodiac

Uranus (rebellion, freedom, unconventional, technological advancement, humanitarianism) moved into Taurus (patient, pleasure-loving, material, determined, conservative) in May 2018.  Uranus then briefly retrograded back into Aries in December 2018, but now on March 6, 2019, Uranus moves back into Taurus where it will transit for the next 7 years.

So what happens when Uranus transits Taurus for 7 years ? Well these two clash and make some hell of a ruckus— leading to radical changes in the bigger themes of our lives!  When Uranus the planet of revolutionary growth / awakening unites with the Taurean vibe of comfort, security and conservatism… Uranus wants change NOW & Taurus doesn’t want to budge… well life as we know it can get turned upside down, inside out in the blink of an eye. Expect the unexpected in the months and years to come with the clash of these two titans yielding change whether we like it or not!

Neptune in Pisces

4 April 2011 to 31 March 2025
165 Years to transit the Zodiac

Neptune (Illusion, deception, creativity) moved into Pisces (Sensitive, psychic, dreamy, creative, charitable) in April 2011.  The last time Neptune entered Pisces was in 1848, three years after it was discovered in 1845.

Neptune in Pisces in it’s fullest potential is an awakening to the DIVINE from within.  It fosters a movement beyond materialism / consumerism and the foundations of religious dogma.  Neptune in Pisces fosters spiritual transformation.   This energy provides a potential for humanity to expand beyond perceived limitations through dedicated spiritual practice and to find AUTHENTIC TRUTH.  Allow your IMAGINATION to SEE beyond the illusion and awaken to living with Spirit through heart-n-soul.

Pluto in Capricorn

26 Jan 2008 to 23/24 March 2023
248 Years to transit the Zodiac

Pluto (transformation & empowerment) moved into Capricorn (Practical, realist, reliable, hard worker) in Jan 2008.  Pluto was in Sagittarius prior to moving into Capricorn, where it had been transiting since 1995.  Pluto was last in Capricorn Nov 1762 until Dec 1778.

Heralding transformation, Pluto in Capricorn is about death and rebirth or endings and beginnings.  It is a time of breaking down all old outdated structures… structures that embody power & control such as governments, corporations & religion.  This dismantling then creates opportunities to rebuild solid foundations from the ground up and inside-out… structures that support communities, humanity and the sustainable life of this planet.

Pluto in Aquarius

23/24 March 2023 to 11/12 June 2023
Pluto Retrograde re-enters Capricorn, but returns direct into Aquarius
20/21 January 2024 to 1/2 September 2024
Pluto Retrograde re-enters Capricorn, but returns direct into Aquarius
19/20 November 2024 to 8/9 March 2043
31 August 2043 Pluto Retrogrades enters Aquarius
19 January 2044 Pluto enters PIsces

Pluto moves into Aquarius in March 2023 for next 20 years, though due to retrogrades we really only get a taste in 2023 of Pluto in Aquarius, the bigger shifts won’t be felt until 2024 & 2025… but will last up until 2043/44!!!

When Pluto enters a new sign, humanity/society enters into a entirely new phase, the frequency shift is often huge!   We have experienced a insightful glimpse of Aquarian energy over 2020-23 with both Saturn & Jupiter having transited through Aquarius— a little setting of the scene & sweet taste of the HUGE changes that will be in store over the next two decades!

The last time Pluto transited Aquarius was between 1778 to 1798.   During the period the American Constitution was written— ‘We the People’ ring the resounding bells of what Pluto in Aquarius is all about— taking back power from structures outside of ourselves, such as Royalty, Governments & other controlling hierarchical structures.   By 1783 United States stopped accepting English convicts, and instead England established a new colony here in Australia in 1787— the trauma of the invasion on our originals has ingrained deep wounds which I believe will receive much healing in restorative ways during this next transit of Pluto through Aquarius.

The French Revolution took place during the last Pluto in Aquarius transit, wth the storming of the Bastille in 1798.  Catherine the Great came into power in 1762 (Pluto in Capricorn), but transformed Russia during her Pluto in Aquarius rule through to 1796 via education, creativity and the arts.

Looking upon our history of the past, Pluto in Aquarius engages the WE, and that structures that society has in place serve the people they represent.

Going back in time even further, Pluto transited Aquarius between 1532 and 1554.   Key highlights from that time are Copernicus defying the Church and advocating that the Earth & Planets revolve around the Sun (at the time it was thought the planets & Sun revolve around the Earth).  And extensive reformations/dissolutions of power within the Roman Catholic church as people spoke out about corruption and embodied change.

Now back into the present…

Aquarius governs technology, science, space, social & political structure and progressive ideas and advancements.  History shows us it is a time that heralds revolutions in all these areas, ground-breaking discoveries that change life as we know it!   Between big leaps in technology & science, entwined with social change, revolutions and political upheaval, Pluto in Aquarius pushes for change that benefit WE the people through redistributions of wealth, power & freedom of choice.

Aquarius is a revolutionary that takes us to places that we haven’t even thought of yet— hence it is hard to image what life will look like by the time Pluto enters Pisces in 2044!    We can anticipate however the emergence of new political parties away from the oligarchy, new advancements in how we move through space, significant changes to genetics, nanotechnology, and trans-humanistic abilities. 4th Industrial Revolution of technology and the push to control vs the peoples uprising for freedom, all intertwined with AI overtaking peoples jobs during the transition.

Pluto in Aquarius is principled, and does not hesitate to call out injustices, corruption or ventures that further inequality.  There is hope with this transit, but like every transit their is a shadowed that also calls to be seen & transmuted.

This is such a HUGE society shift, I will write much more about Pluto in Aquarius in early 2023.
