Our Lunar North & South Nodes— are opposing reference points of our Moon, that provide a mathematical reference point to the intersection of the Moon & Earth’s orbit.

As discussed in Aetheric Healing™,  the South Node of the Moon represents what we have learned in the past, what we have integrated deep within our beingness and can now call upon these talents in the present moment in order to grow (via our North Node), or to help others.  In a way, the integration of South Node lessons becomes complete when we utilise them in the direction of evolving through the North Node.

Hence the North Node of the Moon represents where we are headed, what we are yet to learn, integrate & spiritually evolve.  The North Node inspires us, she calls us to action and draws us out of our comfort zones for awakening & growth.

Nodal Shift July 2023

Just a few hours after our Cancer New Moon, the Nodes of our Moon switch signs— North Node moves from Taurus to Aries, and South Node moves from Scorpio to Libra.  Lunar Nodes switch signs every 18 months or so, thus the last time the North Node was in Aries & South Node in Sagittarius was December 2004 to June 2006.   

North Node in Aries— Embracing independence, moving beyond co-dependence, asserting self, setting boundaries & own needs, confidence in abilities and striving for internal peace rather than finding this peace in relationships with others.

South Node in Libra— Selflessness, making others successful, accommodating others needs, being a team player, giving up own needs in support of another, being nice / harmonious/generous, co-dependence, indecisive, don’t trust instincts.

Cardinal Grand Cross – 18 July

As the Nodes shift into Aries-Libra on July 18, this shift also instigates a secondary shift via the formation of a Cardinal Grand Cross— for 4 Astral Points are all 90 degrees apart in Cardinal Signs.     Looking at the July 18 chart you can see the following 4 Points making a Cardinal Cross all at 29 degrees—

• North Node at 29 degrees Aries
• South Node at 29 degrees Libra
• Pluto at 29 degrees Capricorn
• Moon at 29 degrees Cancer (18 July 2023)

What does Cardinal mean?  The 12 signs of the zodiac are grouped or classified according to their energetic quality.  The groupings are:  CARDINAL (Aries, Cancer, Libra & Capricorn), FIXED (Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, Taurus) and MUTABLE (Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini & Virgo).  In addition, each of these groupings contains a zodiac sign that pertains to a particular element:  FIRE (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius), WATER (Cancer, Scorpio & Pisces), AIR (Libra, Aquarius & Gemini) & EARTH (Capricorn, Taurus & Virgo).

Thus the Astral Points forming our Cardinal Grand Cross on the 18 July 2023 are sitting only in CARDINAL SIGNS and hence each of the ELEMENTS are represented as follows:

• North Node – Aries (Cardinal Fire)
• South Node – Libra (Cardinal Air)
• Pluto – Capricorn (Cardinal Earth)
• Moon – Cancer (Cardinal Water)

Cardinal signs are the leaders of the zodiac, they are always forging ahead, initiating action and like to control and make things happen.  The CARDINAL signs also represent the beginning of each season.

• Aries as a ‘Cardinal Fire’ – is more of an impatient ‘do it yesterday’ initiator, their enthusiasm and urgency drives action.
• Libra as a ‘Cardinal Air’ –  fosters partnerships & relationships, gets people together to get things done.
• Capricorn as a ‘Cardinal Earth’ – is very practical, rolls the sleeves up in a down to earth type of way to get things done.
• Cancer as a ‘Cardinal Water’ – is very emotional assertive, focussing on feelings through influencing people to take action from their heart/home.

Cardinal Grand Cross – 22 July

On the22 July, the Cardinal Grand Cross has progressed from the Moon at 29 degrees Cancer, to the Sun at 29 degrees Cancer.

• Sun at 29 degrees Cancer (22 July 2023)
• North Node – Aries (Cardinal Fire) – 29 degrees
• South Node – Libra (Cardinal Air) – 29 degrees
• Pluto – Capricorn (Cardinal Earth) – 29 degrees
• Sun – Cancer (Cardinal Water) – 29 degrees
